My favourite part of my entire body is my hands.
Not because I’m odd, and have a thing for hands.
But because without my hands, I would be nothing.
I use my hands for everything, not just to hold a cup or open a door.
My hands have held crayons and markers.
I have drawn pictures like any…
LIVING MY LIFE
I live with a disease they call MS.
If you ask me, they should call it the pits.
At times, it’s a struggle to make it thru the day.
But, I know I’ll make it, in my own way.
I keep trying and struggling and giving it my best.
I hope thru my tears and efforts, I’ll pass this test.
I feel as vulnerable as she looks…
- Sadness: You are depressed, sad, or tearful most of the time. This can be noticed by you, but it is also important if others notice it.
- Loss of Interest: You have lost interest or pleasure in most of the things you previously liked to do.
- Appetite Change: Your appetite is much less or much…
The sticks and stones thrown at me,
will not be my ruin, as much as envy;
the vile monster that clings to my bone,
pulling me down, it won’t leave me alone.
And I struggle to slay the beast,
I swing back and fight to resist
its current from pulling me under,
from controlling my sanity…
Just heard on BBC Radio 4 that in August 2010 J.K. Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter stories, gave £10,000,000 to Edinburgh University for research into Multiple Sclerosis. The decision was made after her mother died at the young age of 45 having suffered from MS. The full story is here.
